Taking its name from a Turkish-origin word, "Abrash" means "variation in color." The brand draws inspiration from the rich and diverse cultural heritage of our country. Our vision is to empower skilled artisans, particularly women, by providing them with opportunities to create alongside us. We collaborate directly with artisans from different regions to produce household products that are modern, yet deeply rooted in our traditions and reflective of our culture.
Using traditional techniques such as hand embroidery, Ajrak printing, block printing, Chunri, and pottery, our product range blends home décor and accessories. Our mission is to revive, innovate, and preserve the age-old techniques passed down through generations, introducing them to a wider audience. We aspire to become a brand synonymous with exceptional design quality and the empowerment of artisans.
Our product offerings include hand-embroidered, hand-dyed, and block-printed cushion covers, hand-block-printed bedcovers, pottery, bespoke furniture pieces, and other home accessories. This initiative aims to highlight, support, and empower traditional artisans, preserving the hereditary crafting skills that narrate the stories of our cultural richness.
With a background in Textile and Interior Design, as well as experience in Design education, I have always been intrigued by the richness of our crafts and the incredible skills of our artisans. Abrash Crafts began as a passion project, driven not only by my love for design but also by a desire to give back to my community by empowering artisans through their craft.
I find great joy in working closely with these artisans and bringing my ideas to life.
The backbone of our team consists of some amazing artisans, including our Head Artisan Trainer, Shabana Aunty, who not only ensures that the products are skillfully made but also makes sure that our production deadlines are always met.
